Electrifying transport isn’t just about vehicles — it’s about building the digital backbone that supports them.
As charging needs grow across Europe, utilities and infrastructure planners are left with critical knowledge gaps:
How much capacity will each area need, and when?
Can some of the stress be relieved with local storage or vehicle-to-grid solutions?
How can we monitor and adjust charging behaviour in real time?
To answer these questions, the project SBEES – South Baltic Digital Electromobility Enabling Services is developing four key services:
Charging Demand Mapping – Where will the electricity be needed?
Battery Storage Planning – How can we smooth peaks and store surplus?
Vehicle-to-Grid Integration – Can vehicles give power back to the grid?
Monitoring Tools – Are chargers being used efficiently?
These services aim to empower stakeholders across sectors — from energy to transport to real estate — with data and foresight. The goal: to make Europe’s electric future not just possible, but practical.
