Projects

#1 - Creating Automotive Renewal (CAR)

CAR is a project financed by the South Baltic Interreg Programme, running from 2018 to 2021.

Ten partners from across the South Baltic area participate in the project. There are also three Associated Partners attached to the project. All partners have different interests in electric mobility and they contribute different competencies to the project

CAR has two primary objectives:
  • Performing five pilot installations of charging infrastructure and the development of one recycling solution for electric car batteries.

  • The establishment of the Baltic Strategy Setting Network consisting of companies and public organizations that want to become pioneers in the development of e-mobility.

The 10 partners from the four countries are:

Sweden: IUC Syd, Lund Municipality, and RISE

Denmark: DTU and Bornholm Municipality

Germany: Ostfalia University and Rostock Port

Poland: Gdansk University of Technology, City of Gdynia, and PKT in Gdynia

Competence and engagement

Together the partnership includes a wealth of competence and engagement for the promotion of electric mobility and, coming from four different countries, the different countries with their differences in terms of social, political, and economic environments offer opportunities to test solutions for electric mobility in a wide range of circumstances.
